9th - 10th ELL Academic Team
We are the 9th and 10th grade team. We like to refer to our team as a “bridge” team—one that bridges gaps for some of the students at our school. Many of the students on our team are classified as English Language Learners. They are adjusting and acclimating themselves to a new country, culture, or a language, often all three. We on the ELL team work our hardest to help these special students cross the long bridge that spans language, culture, and education. We encourage our students to become accustomed to a new culture and language while preserving and celebrating their diverse backgrounds. We hope that all of our students will acquire the necessary skills in each of the subject areas, enabling them to reach their fullest potential as young adults.
